Developed on behalf of RISE (The UK’s largest Learning Network) the diversity and inclusion on demand etraining resource explores the types of basic skills and additional learning support needs people have in modern Britain and how this impacts on the spectrum of their life experiences.

The resources are designed to empower work place learners with a greater understanding of key basic skills and additional learning needs awareness themes relating to people's barriers to learning and employment opportunities.

Content includes:

• Context, key concepts and definitions
• Being alert to a potential basic skills and additional learning needs
• Basic skills and the family, housing, employment and crime
• English as a second language
• Exploring some of the barriers that make it difficult for some people with additional learning needs support needs to make the best use of services.
• Guidance on inclusive service approaches and supporting ICT resources
