Beyond the ruins: University of Wales, Newport brings Roman Caerleon back to life
University of Wales, Newport's digital learning and history research expertise have come together to create a state of the art digital visitor experience for Roman Caerleon. From September this year visitors to the Roman Fortress remains in Caerleon will be able to journey back in time on a guided tour with their own personal Centurion Flavius Rufus who reveals insights into the daily life and customs of Isca the Fortress of the Legion - all accessed directly on their smart phones.
